I received my Bachelor of Science in Communication from Tennessee State University in 2014. During my matriculation, I served as sports editor of The Meter, Tennessee State University’s award-winning student newspaper.

I earned my Master of Science in Media and Communication from Middle Tennessee State University in 2018.

During the summer of 2018, I interned with the Knoxville News Sentinel, through the Sports Journalism Institute. I’ve also completed internships with The Tennessean, The Tennessee Tribune and Pride Publishing Group.
